The 38th annual Natural Products Expo West took place in Anaheim, California, March 8-11.
New Tribali frozen 100% organic grass-fed and finished beef patties come in Mediterranean-style (with tomatoes, fire-roasted garlic and onion, along with aromatic rosemary, spearmint and a spritz of citrus) and umami (with woody shiitake mushrooms and tangy hints of nori seaweed, anchovies and umami spices) varieties. There’s also 100% organic free-range and non-GMO chicken patties with smoky chipotle spices and zesty poblano salsa. All three patties are designed to be cooked from frozen and are ready in minutes.
Designed for paleo and gluten-free diets, frozen Primitive Feast fully cooked entrees are protein and sauce only. Varieties are: chicken in bell pepper sauce, chicken masala, grass-fed beef chili, grass-fed beef meatballs, and chile verde with chicken.
Wilde brand Chicken Chips are made with three simple ingredients: 100% natural premium-cut chicken, tapioca flour and coconut oil. The thin and crispy chips made their debut in four flavors. They are: barbecue, buffalo, jalapeño and sea salt with vinegar.
Hip Chick Farms added two fully cooked gluten-free chicken sausage patties to its lineup. The varieties are “with maple” and “with sweet potato hash.”
The Evol brand is introducing four functional frozen meals, one vegetarian, one with beef and two with chicken. The single-serve meals include ingredients designed to help the consumer balance, boost, vitalize or be a warrior. The brand is also getting into the breakfast bowl business. All include cage-free eggs. Other proteins include breakfast sausage, chipotle chorizo, uncured bacon and uncured ham.
