Process Expo, The Global Equipment & Technology Show, kicks off Sept. 19 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Day 1 of Process Expo 2017 has begun. The registration booth is ready to welcome thousands of industry professionals to the North Hall of McCormick Place for the 4-day tradeshow, from Sept. 19-22.
Every Process Expo begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by a serenade of bagpipers. The Shannon Rovers Pipe Band are a Process Expo tradition.
Process Expo’s 4-day trade show opened at 9 a.m. Sept. 19 and will welcome visitors daily through Sept. 22. The show floor will offer equipment, machinery and demonstrations for buyers in all industry sectors including bakery/snacks, beverage, dairy, meat/poultry/seafood, prepared foods, fruits/vegetables, confectionery/candy, co-packers and pet foods.
Process Expo 2017 promises attendees a number of new highlights, including the Food Safety Theater featuring a number of food safety related educational sessions, the virtual reality showroom which will allow attendees to experience equipment in a virtual reality environment and the meat production line, where visitors can see a full meat production line in action.
The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) once again conducted its Defeat Hunger campaign, a food drive that supports the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Over the past two shows, the Defeat Hunger campaign has generated enough donations to provide over 560,000 meals to the people of Cook County.
The results from this year’s Defeat Hunger campaign will be revealed at a press conference on Sept. 21. This year’s goal was to obtain enough donations to provide 400,000 meals to those in need.
