The lawsuit alleged certain meat, poultry, seafood and fruit products were sold higher than the lowest in-store advertised price.

Rick Stott said the company is working to inform and educate the public about its commitment to the community. 

Several other major companies settled in 2022 and 2023.

The next step for the legislation will be a full senate vote.
