NEW YORK and PARIS – KFC UK & Ireland is collaborating with AIRTAG, a mobile shopping solutions provider, to launch the chain's first mobile and web app for ordering and payments called KFC Fast Track.

KFC Fast Track comes with geolocation, which enables diners to locate the nearest KFC, mobile and web-based ordering and payment capabilities, a mobile check-in feature for in-store order recall and a customer account to enable users to store ordering history, favorite products and payment details. KFC Fast Track will be powered by AIRTAG's Airshop Solution platform.

“Our customers lead increasingly busy lives and KFC Fast Track is focused on helping them order, pay for and collect their food faster than ever before, delivering a great experience throughout,” said Paul Borrett, IT director of KFC UK & Ireland. “We look forward to working closely with AIRTAG and adding many more innovative features to KFC Fast Track in the coming months.”

At the time of pick-up, KFC Fast Track users will do a mobile check-in to alert KFC staff that they are present in the store. Using the mobile check-in allows users to skip the traditional checkout line and use a unique checkout dedicated specifically to KFC Fast Track users. KFC Fast Track eventually will include "geofencing" so users can do the mobile check-in before arriving at the restaurant.

“To launch a mobile ordering and payment app for Yum! Restaurants International is a real milestone for AIRTAG. KFC Fast Track will renew the ordering experience in a way that meets new consumer demands for efficiency onset by the increasing importance of multi-channel commerce shopping,” said Jérémie Leroyer, CEO and co-founder of AIRTAG. “We are very pleased to work with KFC in carving out a mobile presence that brings real value to end users and we are very excited for the program’s roll out.”
