WINDOM, MINN. — In an effort to meet the growing demand among consumers on the safety and nutritional attributes of its beef products, PM Beef officials have developed a campaign for its retail customers to provide consumers with a variety of health and wellness resources.

PM’s Wellness & Nutrition Council is made up of experts on each segment of the food production chain who will collaborate to provide retailers with customized, point-of-purchase information, e-news alerts and fact sheets focused on the nutritional attributes of beef. The council also provides PM’s retail partners with access to food scientists, chefs and medical professionals.

"We saw an opportunity to provide retailers unbiased, science-based information and consumer-friendly messages about beef-related topics and issues," said John Hagerla, PM Beef’s vice-president of global marketing and sales. "Our retail partners have the opportunity to utilize the Wellness and Nutrition Council within existing health-focused marketing campaigns or as the platform for a whole new campaign leveraging consumers’ demand to know more about where their food comes from and how it’s produced."
