TORONTO, Ontario – Burger King Worldwide, Inc. announced a limited-time offering of the quick-service chain's BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and sweet potato fries at locations in Canada.

The new sandwich is made with slow-cooked pulled pork in a bold barbecue sauce, topped with onions and sauce, and served on a toasted artisan-style bun. Customers will have the option to upgrade the french fries in any combo to include sweet potato fries, the company said.

"Our new BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries are two feel-good menu options prepared with Canadians' demanding tastes in mind," said Alison Fletcher, director of marketing Canada, Burger King Worldwide, Inc. "We are committed to constantly providing our guests with new and exciting menu choices- and of course the great-tasting food they love and expect from the Burger King brand."

The new sandwich is part of a larger menu expansion that started in 2012 with the company's new Chicken Wraps, Chicken Strips, Strawberry Banana Smoothies and Mocha and Caramel Frappés. Restaurants in the chain also installed electronic menu boards across Canada to elevate continue consumers' in-store experience, the company said. Burger King is supporting the menu expansion with an ongoing national advertising campaign, including television, radio and in-store promotions, the company said.
