DENVER – According to the US Department of Agriculture and the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF), beef exports from the US remained on a record-setting value pace in October. For the first 10 months of this year, beef export value was $5.1 billion – up 11 percent from one year ago.

Totaling at nearly $540 million, October was the best month of the year for pork export value, but that amount was still not as high as the record-large total from a year ago -- $607.3 million. From January through October, pork exports trailed last year’s pace by 6 percent in volume (1.76 million metric tons) and 5 percent in value ($4.96 billion).
