TUCKER, Ga. - The “Infectious Disease Risk Management: Practical Biosecurity Resources for Commercial Poultry Producers” program was recently updated by USPOULTRY. This program was developed to aid in creating more effective biosecurity practices – and it is designed to be used as a program-development tool for personnel training and teaching.

“We are pleased to get this enhanced, interactive DVD in the hands of companies and producers to help address critical areas, protecting our industry’s health,” said John Starkey, president of USPOULTRY. “Our original biosecurity CD was developed about a decade ago, and we have distributed thousands of copies. This new product will continue that tradition of disseminating crucial information.”

This enhanced updated biosecurity program was developed under the guidance of industry and academia members, is interactive and very user-friendly. New educational videos and content are included, such as an introduction video. Revisions were also made to the dead-bird disposal and pest-control management sections, while the resource section includes signs and forms for meetings and monitoring. The program is a multi-purpose, reference, employee training and teaching resource tool.
