BATESVILLE, Ark. – Ozark Mountain Poultry is preparing to re-open a shuttered Pilgrim's Pride chicken processing facility in Batesville, Ark., according to anArkansas Business report.

Rogers, Ark.-based Ozark Mountain Poultry emerged as a potential buyer of the chicken plant after Pilgrim's Pride announced plans in August to close the facility. Ozark Mountain Poultry closed the sale on Nov. 1, and said the plant could be operating by Nov. 11, according to
Arkansas Business.

Ozark Mountain Poultry is a subsidiary of OMP Foods, Inc., which carries Forester Farmers Market brand of antibiotic-free chicken products.
