Joining KLS Ugglarps in 1998, Tunestål has held several executive positions within production, finance, administration and sales. He has built up an extensive network within both the Swedish and the international markets in the Danish Crown group, according to a press release.
”We on the board are delighted to announce Jonas Tunestål as the company’s new CEO,” said Kjeld Johannesen, group CEO of Danish Crown and chairman of the board of directors at KLS Ugglarps AB. ”Jonas has solid practical and theoretical experience and knows the company and its markets inside out. For some time now, Jonas has been an important part of the company’s management team, and will continue in this vein as its new CEO.”
KLS Ugglarps has been enjoying strong growth in recent years. Since Danish Crown took over the company in 2008, it has doubled its market share in the Swedish market and significantly increased revenue. KLS Ugglarps expects to remain a stable and long-term business partner for customers and suppliers alike.
”KLS Ugglarps is an exciting business which is developing positively, and I am very much looking forward to taking over at the helm,” said Tunestål. ”Backed by a financially strong owner with access to the global market, there is every reason to believe that our strategy will succeed. Together with KLS Ugglarps’ skilled employees, I expect the company to attain a leading position in the Swedish meat market in future and become the natural business partner for both customers and suppliers.”
