ELGIN, Ill. – Magdy Albert was promoted to president of Middleby Food Processing Group, the company announced Oct. 4. Albert's previous title was Food Processing Group president, operations.

In his expanded role, Albert will oversee all sales and operational strategies for Middle Food Processing Group, the company said. The promotions were made in conjunction with the retirement of Ivo Cozzini from his position as Food Processing Group president, sales.

“In his expanded role, Magdy’s proven leadership and industry expertise will continue to be an asset to the Food Processing Group,” said Selim Bassoul, CEO of The Middleby Corporation. “We certainly wish Ivo well in his future endeavors and thank him for his dedication and commitment to not only the Food Processing Group but all of the Middleby companies.

“Ivo has played a critical role in developing the Food Processing platform under Middleby and we are very pleased that he will actively continue in an advisory role assisting us with further business development and strategic activities,” Bassoul added.

Stephen Nunn, vice president of sale; Peter Samson, president of Cozzini; and Mary Jane Hansen, group controller, will report to Albert. Nunn will manage sales within the group. He will direct the continued expansion of international sales and distribution offices and oversee a newly established key account sales team. Before his promotion, Nunn was president of Drake, a division of Middleby.
