MIDLAND, Va. – James Usrey was appointed president of Ross Industries, Inc., the company announced Jan. 17.

Usrey brings 16 years of industry experience to the job. Before joining Ross Industries, he worked for Marel, Stork Poultry Processing in Gainesville, Ga. Stork is a leading producer of high-speed equipment for the poultry processing industry. Most recently Usrey was vice president of Engineering and Product Development for Stork. He was directly responsible for the strategic direction of the company with respect to product development for both the domestic and international markets.

As a member of the global management team, Usrey duties included establishing and implementing the company’s vision and operating goals. He also served on Stork’s marketing committee that was responsible for developing global strategy for new technologies and the evaluation of potential technologies for new markets. He holds a master’s degree in engineering as well as an EMBA.

Ross Industries supplies processing, packaging and tenderizing solutions to the food industry. Additionally, the company provides sales, service and support for Ross Tenderizers, Slicers and Dicers, BLC Chillers and Freezers, Macerators, Meat Formers, Antimicrobial Intervention Systems, and Tray Sealing Equipment.
