GREELEY, Colo. – Massive flooding in northern Colorado has closed a JBS USA beef processing plant in Greeley, according toNorthern Colorado Business Report.

The plant canceled its first and second shifts for Sept. 16, and the company's workers were told not to come to the plant out of safety concerns. Flood waters reached Weld County starting Sept. 13, and rains continued over the weekend, worsening conditions in Northern Colorado and the Denver area, according to the report.


The floods have killed six people, while more than 1,200 are unaccounted for, according to local news reports.
