LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Taco Bell announced plans to expand its market test of the restaurant chain's Waffle Taco breakfast offering, according to an Associated Press report.

The Waffle Taco has been a top seller so far in test markets. The product includes scrambled eggs and sausage in a folded waffle. The Waffle Taco and Taco Bell's breakfast menu will be expanded to 100 restaurants in Fresno, Calif., Omaha, Neb., and Chattanooga, Tenn., starting Aug. 8, according to AP.

Taco Bell, a subsidiary of Yum Brands, currently serves breakfast in about 600 units. The chain debuted its FirstMeal platform in select markets at the beginning of 2012 with such menu items as breakfast burritos and wraps.
