CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Corpus Christi city council is expected to approve a $3 million tax incentive plan with Sam Kane Beef Processors.

A group of cattlemen and ranchers led by businessman Lou Waters acquired the company in a private transaction in May. Waters was given a $3 million tax incentive plan to retain jobs and add 100 more over the next four years. The processor currently employs more than 700 workers.
