MCLEAN, Va. – The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) Foundation announced the winners of its Career Development scholarships for the upcoming academic year. More than 430 applications were submitted to the independent selection committee. Ten of the applicants were selected to receive $5,000 scholarships.

The FPSA Foundation established the scholarship program in 2005 as a benefit to FPSA members to help promote the career and professional development of FPSA member employees who work full time and their immediate family members. Scholarship recipients include family members of employees from FPSA member companies Marel Meat Processing, The J.E. Grote Company, Power Engineers, Osgood Industries, Brady Corporation, Tetra Pak, Weber Inc., SPX Flow Technology, and Evergreen Packaging.


“On behalf of the entire Foundation of the FPSA Board I want to congratulate the winners of the 2013 Career Development Scholarships,” said Barry Shoulders, chairman of the Foundation of the FPSA and CEO of R.A Jones. “I also want to thank all those that applied for the scholarship, and I encourage you to apply again next year.

The next application period will open in January, 2014 and 10 more $5,000 scholarships will be awarded, Shoulders added.
