LOS ANGELES – More than 3,100 Walmart stores will carry Fatburger brand frozen hamburger patties starting in June, the franchise announced May 24. The one-third pound frozen burgers will be sold in a six-pack box.

Fatburger began in 1952 in Hollywood and became known as "The Last Great Hamburger Stand". Since then, the fast casual chain has an established reputation for serving gourmet, custom burgers.

"In 1952, when Lovie Yancey introduced the first Fatburger in Los Angeles, her goal was to create the biggest, juiciest hamburger anyone had ever seen," said Andy Wiederhorn, CEO of Fatburger. "Launching at Walmart marks the first time our classic burgers will be available to families across America, bringing Fatburger to a whole new generation of customers as well as offering customers who grew up with the brand a new way to enjoy their favorite burger."
