MISSION VIEJO, Calif. – Sizzler is launching an expanded sandwich lineup that includes steak, chicken and seafood.

The new Aged Tri-Tip Sandwich is topped in barbecue sauce, hand-breaded onion straws and served on a freshly baked French roll with seasoned “Street Fries,” which are dusted with Sizzler’s proprietary, new seasoning that was created on the company's food truck.

The Tuscan Chicken has lettuce, tomato and a sun-dried tomato mayonnaise on focaccia. It also comes with Street Fries. Prices start at $6.99.

The Crispy Shrimp Po' Boy has breaded shrimp, tomato, lettuce and a tangy "Bang Bang" sauce served on a French roll, also with Street Fries as a side.

"Sandwiches are growing in popularity with consumers," said Chef Tamra Scroggins, Sizzler R&D manager. "These crave-able items tap into that trend, offering guests an opportunity to enjoy signature Sizzler flavors in a new way.

We've always been known for our steak, seafood and salads. We may need to change that to steak, seafood, salads and sandwiches,” she added.

The new sandwiches are available at participating locations until Oct. 28, 2012.
