SÃO PAULO, Brazil – Gustavo Kahl was appointed president of JBS operations in Argentina, JBS S.A. announced on Sept. 17. Kahl succeeds Artemio Listoni, who will assume a role in the company’s beef business unit in Brazil.

"Gustavo has excellent management skills and a deep knowledge of the Argentine beef industry" said Jose Augusto de Carvalho, Jr., president of JBS Mercosul. "We are certain that he will continue the work that has been done in recent years, seeking to improve the performance of our activities in that country.”

Kahl is an industrial engineer graduate from Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires, with post graduate studies at ESADE Business School. Before joining JBS, he held various leadership positions within Cargill. Kahl also spent 15 years in various capacities at Finexcor, an Argentina-based supplier of chilled and frozen meat and meat products.
