DUBLIN, Ohio – Wendy’s unveiled a new mobile nutrition application that allows customers to personalize their meals based on the number of calories they choose.

Customers have two ways to create meals: by selecting a calorie range that prompts a list of meal options or by building a meal by choosing specific items from the Wendy’s menu. Additional nutrition information is available for each menu item selected.

The mobile app includes a “Favorites” section where customers can store their menu creations. It also has geo-location capability to locate nearby restaurants. The company said upgrades to the app may include expanded nutrition information, digital coupons and mobile payment capability.

The first edition of the Wendy’s app is available free on Apple App Store, Google Play and via Mobile Web at Wendys.com. Columbus, Ohio-based Resource Interactive, a digital marketing agency, developed the app, Wendy’s said.
