SAN DIEGO, Calif. – USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) announced that Chaz Wilson, vice president of Grove Services, an international trading company, was elected chairman of the board of the for 2012-13.

Wilson succeeds Thierry Murad, global product manager-poultry at AJC International. Elections were held June 7 during USAPEEC’s annual meeting. Wilson will head the eight-member USAPEEC Executive Committee, which establishes policy and direction to USAPEEC. Murad will remain on the executive committee as past-chairman.

USAPEEC members also elected Charles von der Heyde of Pilgrim’s Pride, Greeley, Colo., as first vice chairman of the board, and Herbie Hoover of Sanderson Farms, Laurel, Miss., as second vice chairman.
Joel Coleman, vice president and general manager of international sales at Butterball LLC, Mt. Olive, NC, was elected secretary-treasurer. He succeeds Jim Hoben, vice president-poultry at Interra International. Hoben is a former two-time chairman of USAPEEC.

Neil Carey of Simmons Foods, Siloam Springs, Ark., was elected chairman of USAPEEC’s Marketing Committee. Carey will also serve on the board and will have a seat on the executive committee.

Executive Committee at-large members are Mike Little, international sales manager for Mountaire Farms, Selbyville, Del., and Jim Wayt of Intervision Foods, Atlanta.

New members elected to three-year terms on the USAPEEC board are Claudio Saviano of House of Raeford, Raeford, NC; Greg Hinton of Rose Acre Farms, Seymour, Ind.; and Larry Gibson of George’s Inc., Springdale, Ark.
