SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Franchisees are being sought out by Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen to allow the Cajun fried chicken restaurant chain to enter the Utah market, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. As a result, a company development team plans to host an executive roundtable in Salt Lake City on May 2 to pass along ownership information.

Candidates must have a minimum net worth of $500,000 and liquid assets of at least $250,000. They should also have five years of experience owning and operating restaurants.

Popeyes operates 2,035 restaurants in the US and 25 foreign countries. Last year, it opened 140 restaurants.
