TORONTO, Ontario – Maple Leaf Foods is re-launching Larsen "Classic Taste" Wieners produced with the original recipe after changing it in 2010.

“Atlantic Canadians told us that they prefer the original taste of Larsen Wieners over the new recipe that was launched last year and we listened,” said Andrew Pollock, senior vice president, Marketing and Innovation. “Larsen Wieners have an iconic history throughout Atlantic Canada and we are proud to provide Atlantic Canadians with the same Larsen classic taste they know and love. The positive feedback we have received via Facebook and through our retail partners has been off the charts.”

Maple Leaf said consumers made their feelings known through social media when the original recipe was changed in 2010. Larsen Classic Taste Wieners are now available at participating retailers throughout Atlantic Canada, the company said.

The Larsen brand specializes in pork products including hot dogs, bacon and ham. The products are distributed exclusively for Atlantic Canada.
