NEW YORK MILLS, NY – Delft Blue, a veal, pork and beef processor, announced the plant is closing down in March 2013 for economic reasons, according to a report from WKTV.com.
Citing economic reasons, the company issued employees a 90-day layoff notice on Dec. 6. The plant closure will affect 58 employees, according to the report.
Delft Blue has headquarters in Cambridge, Ontario and a sales office in Green Bay, Wis., according to the company’s web site. The New York Mills is the only processing location to close.
