GREELEY, Col. – JBS USA announced plans to install an odor-controlling stack at the company’s Greeley, Col., facility, according to the Northern Colorado Business Report.

The stack will be 180 ft. tall and will cost $1.5 million, according to NCBR. The stack will combine three emission points at the plant. Pre-treated emissions will be routed to a higher elevation, which should lessen odors. Construction on the stack will last six months, according to NCBR.

More than 5,000 head of cattle are processed daily at the facility. JBS USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of JBS S.A.
