YOAKUM, Texas – Just weeks after appointing Scott McNair, a former Tyson Foods executive, as its chief executive, Eddy Packing Co., Inc. officials announced on Jan. 27 the appointment of Robert Beckwith to the position of chief operating officer. Eddy, which was acquired by investment group Mason Wells in early January, is a processor of beef, pork and poultry products. The company offers a complete line of fully cooked, marinated, cured, fresh and frozen meat products under its own brand and on a private label basis for retail and foodservice customers.

"Bob brings tested leadership, and understands the rigor required to grow a successful consumer packaged goods company,” McNair said.

Beckwith formerly worked as the vice president of strategic business alliances at Schwan’s Shared Services. “I am truly thrilled about this opportunity,” said Beckwith. “I joined Eddy to work with a passionate team that is focused on bringing high-quality, value-added protein solutions to market that fit the needs of customers and consumers.”
