CHICAGO, Ill. – Provisur Technologies Inc. acquired TS Techniek B.V. (TST), a technology-driven, food processing equipment manufacturer based in Pijnacker, Netherlands, on Sept. 7. This is the second European acquisition for Provisur in 2011, which further extends their global manufacturing capabilities.

TST designs and manufactures battering, breading, frying, cooking and freezing equipment and complements Provisur’s existing preparation and forming market products.

By adding TST, Provisur now has the ability to offer food processors a fully integrated system for their meat and poultry lines.

“TST is a perfect fit in every way for Provisur, allowing us to provide a complete offering for further processed poultry lines,” said Provisur CEO Mel Cohen. “With Provisur’s global resources, food processors can be confident that TST will have product and technical support everywhere in the world.”

“I am very excited for our company to become part of a growing enterprise like Provisur,” said TST’s founder and owner Tom Steentjes. “TST’s success against much larger competitors is based on a philosophy of customizing machinery to exact customer specifications. Our business has grown rapidly, but we now need the strength and global reach of Provisur to achieve the next level of growth.”

Steentjes will join Provisur in a senior commercial and technical position to ensure Provisur products meet the exacting needs of its customers.

“Tom will help us bring the ‘voice of the customer’ to the design and manufacture of our equipment,” Cohen said. “He and his engineering team strengthen our global innovation capabilities creating the products food processors need to sustain profitable growth.”

Provisur (www.provisur.com) is a leading global innovator in the food processing equipment industry whose brands and products include AM2C and Beehive separation equipment, Formax forming and slicing equipment, Cashin slicing equipment, and Weiler grinding and mixing equipment.
