ORLAND, Ind. – Samuel Worrell, 25, a maintenance worker at Miller Poultry near the town of Orland, was killed in an accident at the plant on Sept. 2 in northeastern Indiana, according to The Associated Press. The Steuben County coroner said Worrell of Fremont died from head injuries.

Worrell was fatally injured by machinery used to unload chicken crates, company manager Len Neeb told The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne. Worrell and two other workers had finished servicing the machinery and were testing it when the accident occurred.

Production at the plant about 40 miles north of Fort Wayne was halted after the accident, but the company planned to resume production soon.
