AURORA, Ill. – Earlier this month, OSI Industries was awarded the Quality Award at the McDonald’s 2011 Supplier Summit, in Oak Brook, Ill. OSI Industries is the North American division of OSI Group LLC, a supplier to McDonald’s in many countries.

This award is given to a supplier that demonstrates sustained leadership in food safety and quality systems. The McDonald’s team acknowledged that the top management of OSI has been visible in leading and supporting efforts to elevate OSI’s quality and food-safety management systems, stating, “They [OSI] talk quality first from the plant floor to the boardroom.”

Dr. Justin Ransom, OSI’s assistant vice president of food protection and government affairs, accepted the award. Ransom has been the quality liaison to McDonald’s for OSI since 2007. “I appreciate that McDonald’s recognizes OSI’s hard work to be a leader in food safety and quality,” he said. “I know they have great confidence in our systems, and this award reflects that confidence.”
