MINONG, Wis. – Jack Link’s Beef Jerky’s Matador Beef Jerky brand recently launched a new logo and package design plus added a new Peppered Beef Jerky flavor to its meat snack line. The peppered flavor profile is currently the No. 3 flavor in the meat snacks category.

The new Matador package design better communicates the products’ unique attributes and is designed to encourage trial among new consumers. Matador is also offering exclusive content through an on-pack quick response code, popular among the smart phone-connected millennial target.

“In less than two short years, Matador has earned its place as one of the top national meat snack brands,” said Mark Catlin, director of marketing, Matador Beef Jerky. “We believe Matador is poised to continue driving strong category growth now and into the future.”

Other Matador flavors include Beef Jerky in Original, Teriyaki, Sizzling Sweet, Smokin’ BBQ and the new Peppered flavor profiles. Each is available in a 3-oz. package with a suggested retail price of $5.99.

The brand is also launching a variety of new retail merchandising solutions, including floor and counter display, caddy and clip strip options, including a new combination display, featuring both jerky and stick products in the same free-standing unit.
