SPRINGDALE, Ark. – A Tyson Foods truck driver was killed in an accident outside its plant in Springdale.

“We’re investigating the tragic, accidental death of a Tyson truck driver at a trailer staging area adjacent to the Berry Street production facility in Springdale,” company spokesman Worth Sparkman told MEATPOULTRY.com. “The accident happened after 11 p.m. on Aug. 3. The driver died after being accidentally pinned between two truck trailers outside of the plant.”


Tyson Foods safety and transportation personnel are investigating how the driver was killed and the company has notified federal safety authorities. The identity of the driver was not released.
