PLEASANTON, Calif. — Cooks at the Alameda County Fair grilled a gigantic burger last Saturday night that weighed 777 lbs., pulverizing the Guinness World Record of 590 lbs. by almost 200 lbs., according to The Associated Press.

Beginning at 5 a.m., Brett Enright, CEO of Juicy's barbecue catering company, partnered with Nick Nicora of Ovation Food Services to grill 600 lbs. of meat. The patty took more than 15 hours to cook, eventually shrinking down to about 400 lbs. Next, 50 lbs. of cheese, 30 lbs. of lettuce and 20 lbs. of onions were added.

Fair attendees were allowed to taste the final product for 99 cents per serving. Fair officials are still waiting for Guinness to certify the world record.
