TORONTO – Eight butchers and one general employee at the Maple Leaf Foods plant in Burlington and three children of the lottery group leader have won the Lotto jackpot prize of $10,579,013.

Reports indicate that lottery group leader Altiman Cornwall, 64, was reserved when he and his colleagues and children took home the jackpot prize of the Lotto 6/49 draw on Jan. 31. Each winner received $881,584, which they all called a very "nice sum." With the exception of Cornwall, who was due to retire soon, everyone plans to continue working.
