LONG VALLEY, NJ – Ripken Power Shred has inked a deal with Kroger making the jerky snack available for purchase in 100 Kroger grocery stores throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region, Florio Sports LLC announced. This is the first deal with a major grocery retailer for Ripken Power Shred since launching the product in October at the 2010 NACS (National Association of Convenience Stores) Show in Atlanta, Ga.

Ripken Power Shred’s 3-oz. pouches, available in original, teriyaki and sweet n’ spicy flavors, will be sold for $4.99 each as part of a promotion that includes a free 20 oz. Gatorade and 6 oz. can of Pringles potato chips with the purchase of one pouch. The initial promotion has begun and will though Labor Day this year.

Ripken Power Shred partners with National Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. A portion of all Ripken Power Shred sales benefit the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that uses baseball and softball themed programs to serve at-risk youth in underserved communities throughout the United States.
