ROSEMEAD, Calif. – Panda Express’ Firecracker Chicken Breast is returning to the chain’s menus for a limited time to commemorate the 2012 Chinese New Year.

The offering contains 240 calories per serving and features chicken breast, yellow and red bell peppers, all wokked in a black bean sauce. The Panda Express LTO Firecracker Chicken Breast price varies by location, but the average a la carte cost is $3.25.

"The Chinese New Year's Eve feast features ingredients that carry special symbolic meaning," said Andy Kao, executive chef. "Firecracker Chicken Breast is created with chicken because it represents prosperity and happiness, while firecrackers are a traditional part of New Year's celebrations."

Firecracker Chicken Breast will be available at participating Panda Express locations nationwide from Jan. 4 to Feb. 14, and will be on the restaurant's catering menu for Chinese New Year parties.
