TUCKER, Ga. – Governor Nathan Deal of Georgia recently proclaimed the fourth week in January as Poultry Week. The proclamation was made in recognition of the International Poultry Expo's many years of taking place in Atlanta, for advancing the poultry industry and contributing to the economic well-being of Georgia.

Next year’s IPE marks the 64th convention in Atlanta in as many years. The IPE is the largest annual trade show at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The Expo draws approximately 21,000 attendees to Atlanta in January each year. The estimated annual economic impact of the show for Atlanta is approximately $23 million.

Deal’s proclamation was presented to Tom Hensley, president of Fieldale Farms, and John Starkey, president of the US Poultry & Egg Association. USPOULTRY sponsors the IPE.
