PHILADELPHIA – Starting Oct. 24, the McRib sandwich is available at participating McDonald's restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region until Nov. 20. The sandwich includes boneless pork with onions, dill pickle slices and McDonald's McRib sauce on a bun.

In an effort to thank US troops for their service during the intro celebration, McDonald's Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region will present Mission McRib. On Oct. 24 and Nov. 11 (Veterans Day), members of the military can enjoy one free McRib sandwich. Members of the military must show their military ID at the counter to receive their free McRib sandwich on the designated dates, limit one per customer per visit while supplies last.

In kicking-off Mission McRib, the McDonald's at 102 E. Main Street in Wrightstown, NJ, is hosting a Mission McRib celebration on Oct. 27 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Members of the military from Maguire-Dix-Lakehurst base and their families are invited to attend the celebration, sample the McRib sandwich, and meet Ronald McDonald. A $500 donation will be given during a check presentation at the event to the Friends of Family Support, a foundation that offers support for the families of those serving our country overseas.
