OAK BROOK, Ill. – The McRib sandwich has returned nationwide for the second time in two years to participating McDonald’s restaurants through Nov. 14. The McRib is a boneless pork patty made from USDA inspected quality boneless pork, topped with onions, sliced dill pickles, barbeque sauce on a toasted bun. The suggested retail price is $2.79, although prices do somewhat vary per market.

It returned to McDonald’s nationally in 2010 for the first time in 16 years, which lead to a 4.8 percent US sales increase in November.

"The McRib has an enthusiastic and dedicated fan base," said Marta Fearon, McDonald's US marketing director. "And we thank those customers for contributing to our decision to bring back the McRib nationwide in 2011. At this time, we can't speculate on its return in the future but we hope McRib fans will enjoy it now while it lasts."
