LANGLEY, BC – Freybe Gourmet Foods has captured 22 gold and two silver medals at the 18th International Competition for Meats and Sausages held in Wels, Austria. The processor competed with 109 other companies from eight countries where more than 1,300 products were tested and judged for quality.

Freybe submitted 24 products, all of which were awarded medals. In its 167-year history, Freybe has won more than 700 international awards and accolades, including 448 international gold medals for its products.


Freybe's 2010 International wins include 22 gold medals for its Weisswurst, European Wieners, Herb Liver Sausage, Fine Liver Sausage, Cheese Smokies, Schinkenspeck, Summer Sausage, Kaiser Jagdwurst, Lyoner Sausage, Old-Fashioned Ham, Black Forest Ham, Honey Ham, Cervelat Salami. French Herb Salami. Gypsy Salami, Turkey & Chicken Sausage, Sundried Tomato Turkey & Chicken Sausage Italian Style, Pepperoni Honey Garlic, Mini Dry Pepperoni, Landjaeger, Oven-Roasted Turkey Breast andCognac Paté

Two silver medals were won for its Gold Liver Sausage and Pepperoni Original.
