IRON RIDGE, Wis. – Wisconsin-based Pro Smoker (P.S.) has acquired Vortron Smokehouse Manufacturing Company. Adding Vortron’s line of multi-truck smokehouses to P.S.’s product portfolio has expanded its position in the marketplace.

As a result of this acquisition, Pro Smoker is better able to serve small, medium and large meat processors by marketing its pellet generated smokers to them.

“I’m excited about providing an extraordinary level of service to the Vortron customer base,” said Ken Hanni, chief executive officer. “We plan to consolidate factories and continue to manufacture in the U.S.A.”

“Our seasoning lines and the new patent-pending wood pellet smoke generator fill a void in today’s niche markets.” added Joe Hanni, vice president, P.S. Seasonings.

Harold Hanni, Pro Smoker founder, said, “The expansive growth of Pro Smoker is consistent with my philosophy that you can bring old-world sausage-making technology into the 21st century. We’ll be able to reach a broader spectrum of processors through the combination of these two companies.”

Pro Smoker ‘N Roaster does business in nine countries and has more than 7,500 units in the field today.
