WASHINGTON – Thirty senators, including those from Maryland and Delaware, are asking Russia to fully honor its commitment to allow U.S. poultry products back into Russia, according to The Associated Press.

A letter was sent by the senators on Aug. 30 to Sergey I. Kislyak, ambassador of the Russian Federation to the U.S., stating Russia has tried to impose restrictions on U.S. poultry products rather than implement the agreement the countries' two presidents reached in June. The letter added the actions are a setback to trade relations between the two countries.

Russia was urged by the senators to immediately fully allow U.S. poultry product exports back into Russian without more delays.
