WASHINGTON – The HBO film titled Temple Grandin, which provides an insight into Dr. Temple Grandin’s perseverance and determination while struggling with autism, was nominated for 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Best Made for Television Movie, Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie (Claire Danes), Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie (David Strathairn) and Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie (Julie Ormond and Catherine O’Hara). The 62nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be held Aug. 29 and broadcast on NBC.

Ms. Grandin is a long-time, regular contributing editor to MEAT&POULTRY Magazine, the author of the A.M.I. Recommended Handling Guidelines and Audit Guide, a member of A.M.I.’s Animal Welfare Committee and has been the association’s principal animal welfare advisor since 1991.
