SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK. — Simmons Foods announced the appointment of Marcia Reeves as senior vice president of technical services. Reeves will succeed Craig Bacon, PhD, who plans to retire from the company in 2026.
According to Simmons, Bacon’s contributions have shaped its technical services operations. He will work closely with Reeves to ensure a seamless transition.
“Having known Marcia for years, I can say without hesitation that she has an excellent reputation in the industry,” Bacon said. “Her expertise, innovative thinking and alignment with Simmons’ culture and values make her the perfect fit for this position. I am certain she will bring fresh perspectives and exceptional leadership as Simmons continues to grow.”
Prior to joining Simmons, Reeves most recently served as vice president of R&D, innovation and regulatory at Pilgrim’s, where she led strategies to increase annual net sales. Her experience spans product development, packaging engineering, regulatory oversight and innovation marketing. According to Simmons, she has a distinguished track record of leadership in research, development, innovation and technical services throughout the food industry.
Reeves has an MBA from Colorado State University and degrees in Meat Science and Food Science from Oklahoma State University.
