ORLANDO — Women in Agribusiness (WIA) announced the speakers for the Weather Impact Panel at the 14th annual WIA Summit, held Sept. 22-24, 2025, in Orlando.
Moderated by Lisa Foust Prater, executive editor of Successful Farming, the panel will include “Captain” Bill Kirk, chief executive officer of Weather Trends International; Natalja Skuratovic, senior account executive at EarthDaily Agro; and John Coleman, managing director with Munich Re Trading.
Panelists will highlight weather-related factors influencing agriculture and strategies for mitigating weather risks, pulling on knowledge as experts in their respective fields.
Kirk analyzes what to many is the most vexing problem in weather — long-term forecasting.
With a track record of predictions that tend to be more accurate than anyone’s short range day 7-14 forecasts, including National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Kirk and his associates specialize in agentic AI year-ahead weather and seasonal sales. They support global brands in 12 sectors, helping them optimize agricultural plans, seasonal sales, inventory, allocation and marketing. Weather Trends International assists over 100 Fortune 1,000 companies like Target, Coca-Cola and Bayer.
Speaker Skuratovic works to help organizations optimize operations through advanced Earth observation data and geospatial analytics. EarthDaily combines a cutting-edge satellite constellation with integrated, science-grade analytics so that industries like agriculture can act with confidence.
Skuratovic began her ag career at Glencore, one of the world’s leading commodity trading firms, where she spent over a decade as a trader, initially covering European markets and later expanding her focus to North Africa and the Middle East. She then spent eight years in Egypt working for one of the country’s largest private grain importing companies.
Panelist Coleman is a seasoned expert in weather, crop-yield and natural catastrophe derivatives for the agricultural industry. Prior to his current role at Munich Re Trading, Coleman was head of business development at Arbol, a FinTech firm specializing in climate risk solutions. He also led structuring and origination at eWeatherRisk, aiding US farmers in mitigating protection gaps using weather derivatives.
