WASHINGTON — The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) confirmed in a constituent update that it would hold the annual National Small Plant Roundtable on June 6.
The meeting will occur during the Southeastern Meat Association (SEMA) Annual Convention and Trade Show in Atlantic Beach, Fla.
Officials at the roundtable will include Denise Eblen, PhD, the FSIS Administrator, along with members of the FSIS Office of Field Operations and Office of Policy and Program Development. The USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Service will also attend the meeting.
FSIS said that RSVPs are not required but asked prospective attendees to notify USDA if participants will attend in person or virtually.
