BRAMPTON, ONTARIO — Cardinal Meat Specialists Ltd., a family-owned meat company based in Brampton, Ontario, announced the debut of a new smashburger product available at major Canadian retailers like Costco, Longo’s, Metro and Giant Tiger. The Cardinal Roadhouse Smash Burger launch is in honor of the company’s celebration of 100 years of Cator-family leadership and innovation in the meat industry.
The new product combines a time-honored recipe with a modern twist. Each 100% beef burger patty features Cardinal’s patented NTF technology for enhanced juiciness and a crispy exterior when cooked, delivered in a convenient and authentic smashburger format.
With premium black packaging that displays Jack Cator, who began the family’s meat legacy, the burgers are offered in packs of eight at a suggested retail price of $19.99.
“Although Cardinal Meats is not 100, my family’s journey in the Canadian meat business over the past 100 years has been one of resilience, innovation and community,” said Brent Cator, president and owner of Cardinal Meats. “This special edition product is more than just a new offering — Cardinal Roadhouse Smash Burger is a tribute to our roots, a celebration of our loyal customers and an exciting step forward, as Cardinal the company, prepares to turn 60 next year.”
