WASHINGTON — ACC Central Kitchen LCC, based in Thorofare, NJ, is recalling 64,008 lbs of frozen pork bun products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on April 24. The pork buns contain sesame, a known allergen that was not listed on the product label.

The pork buns with crab roe were produced on various dates dating back to Nov. 28, 2023. The following item is subject to the recall:

  • 8.45-oz sleeve tray packages of “3 Meals A Day SOUPY PORK BUN WITH CRAB ROE” with the following range of lot codes: 052625-090626.

The products bear the establishment number “EST. 40031” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations in New York.

FSIS discovered the problem during routine in-plant verification activities when inspection personnel noticed the sesame ingredient used in the pork buns was not declared on the product label.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products, FSIS said.
