FLORA, IND. — Veteran-owned and farmer-founded meat processor, Legacy Meat Co. has announced its name change to Tier One Meat Co., as part of a rebranding campaign. The purpose of the change marks a renewed commitment to the highest quality, operational excellence and customer service by its founders.
“As we’ve grown, so has our responsibility,” said Clayton Michael-Butler, Marine Corps veteran and co-founder of Tier One Meat Co. “Our customers, our farmers, and our community expect the best — and that’s what Tier One stands for. This name reflects who we are now and where we’re headed.”
The founders of Legacy Meat Co. started the company with a mission to reconnect communities to clean, locally raised meat through transparency, education, and craftsmanship. Throughout its existence, it has provided service to hundreds of farm families, consumers, and wholesale partners across Indiana and beyond.
Due to increasing demand and reach, leaders decided a new identity capturing Legacy’s core values and future was needed. The new brand, Tier One Meat Co., was named to represent high levels of performance and integrity. Leadership took the name from military terminology to symbolize “elite standards and exceptional execution.”
“This is more than a name change,” said Chase Meade, co-founder and US Air Force veteran. “It’s a renewed promise to hold the line on quality, to respect the farmers we serve, and to always do things the right way — even when it’s harder. It’s who we are.”
The rebrand includes a new name and logo reflecting the strength, precision, and patriotism behind the company; a bold new brand identity centered around the tagline America’s Elite Meat Provider; a refreshed website and digital experience at www.TierOneMeatCo.com; updated packaging, signage, and apparel featuring the new brand; and an expanded customer portal and tools for farm partners.
The dedicated team of professionals who serve with pride and care, the exacting standards of processing and packaging, and the values that built the business — transparency, service, and community impact — will remain intact.
“We take pride in everything we touch, from the carcass to the cut to the customer,” Butler said. “That pride doesn’t stop when we clock out. It shows up in how we serve our communities and support our fellow Americans.”
