MILWAUKEE — Bay View Packing, a company that produces pickled products, recently announced that it finished an expansion at its facility, which is looking to increase efficiency.
The company stated that it installed a new rotary chuck capper and upgraded label applicator, which helps the business cap up to 90 jars per minute compared to the previous maximum of 40 jars per minute.
“While these upgrades enhance our efficiency, what sets Bay View Packing apart is that every product is still hand-packed with pride,” said Drew Liebner, president of Bay View Packing. “We’re blending tradition with innovation — leveraging advanced equipment to expand our capabilities while ensuring that every jar meets the same high standards that our customers expect.”
Bay View added that the investment would help serve its private label and contract manufacturing partners.
Products made by Bay View included pickled eggs, pickled sausages and pickled hams.
The facility upgrades were helped by the Meat and Poultry Supply Chain Resiliency Grant that was provided by the state of Wisconsin’s Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
