LITTLE ROCK, ARK. – On June 11, the Poultry Federation of Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma named Kevin McDaniel of O.K. Farms Inc. the “2010 Industry Leader of the Year” at the association’s 51st Annual Poultry Festival held in Rogers, Ark. The annual award is presented to a leader in the poultry industry who has demonstrated exceptional support of the poultry industry and the association.

McDaniel began in the banking industry early in his career after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1988, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Ag-Economics. After one year, he decided to shift his career full-time to the poultry industry and joined Pilgrim’s Pride, working at its Texas-based facilities in Nacogdoches, Pittsburg, DeQueen and El Dorado.


During his career, he was a live operations service technician, breeder service technician, live operations manager, broiler manager and complex manager. Mr. McDaniel is currently vice president of production at O.K. Farms Inc. He is a member of The Poultry Federation’s board of directors and served as secretary for the 2009-2010 term. He will serve as treasurer in 2010 and 2011.
